Why CultureVision?
Today, people of color comprise about 30% of the U.S. population. By the year 2050, various ethnic groups and people of color in the U.S. will total about half (51.1%) of the population, according to the U.S. Census Bureau. Close to 90% of our total population growth in that time will have come from higher birth rates of people of color and immigrants from all over the world.
How Does CultureVision Work?
It's as simple as 1-2-3. Let's say a Chinese patient comes into labor and delivery. A nurse wants to know if there are any specific cultural traits or patterns that they should know about. What are the pertinent questions to ask? Any medications, or diseases that are particularly relevant to this group? The nurse simply logs onto the CultureVision website. Next, click on to the Chinese section and finally click "Labor, Birth and Aftercare." Just that quickly you have the information you are looking for, and within minutes you are contributing to a better healthcare experience for the patient.
